1 Corinthians 15:42-43, Raised In Glory

1 Corinthians 15:42-43 So also is the resurrection of the dead. It is sown in corruption; it is raised in incorruption: It is sown in dishonour; it is raised in glory: it is sown in weakness; it is raised in power:

The beginning of the human soul is at physical birth. Born into this world after the fall of Adam and Eve, man is plagued with the disease of sin that brings to him misery, suffering and finally death and then judgment in hell-fire. But God in His mercy did not leave men to eternal misery and torment.

God’s plan simple but the enactment was complicated as we trace it through human history. He had to send His Son, Jesus Christ, from heaven to be born as a man on earth, to live a perfect life and finally to be crucified on the cross to bear the sins of all mankind. Three days later, Jesus rose from the dead. His glorious resurrection Person was seen by His disciples and many other believers. They were shocked to see their Master back from the dead. But they witnessed the impossible and Christ’s glory in His resurrection body.

This is the same glory that believers will receive in the resurrection. What a day of rejoicing it will be! May we live today for the Lord in the light of the coming resurrection proclaiming this good news to the world. Amen.
