Hebrews 11:25-26 Choosing Rather To Suffer Affliction With The People Of God
Hebrews 11:25-26 (KJV) Choosing rather to suffer affliction with the people of God, than to enjoy the pleasures of sin for a season; 26 Esteeming the reproach of Christ greater riches than the treasures in Egypt: for he had respect unto the recompense of the reward.
Moses was a prince in Egypt. He was to become the next Pharaoh.
Instead he chose to be identified with God’s people, the Israelite slaves in Egypt. He could have remained in Egypt and enjoy the pleasures of sin for a season.
Knowing that the way of sin is death, he chose rather to esteem the reproach of Christ which has great riches than the treasures of Egypt. He trusted God that there is a reward that God gives to His faithful servants. Amen.
