1 Timothy 6:12 Lay Hold On Eternal Life

1 Timothy 6:12 (KJV) Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses.

It is by faith in the finished work of Christ that enables one to lay hold on eternal life, having one’s sins being dealt with by Christ. This glorious gospel truth must be safely guarded and proclaimed.

It is God who calls one to salvation and by His grace enables faith to receive the gift of eternal life. And to be a faithful witness for the Lord who saved him.

More than that, to be a witness for the Lord as a special enabling, more so for Timothy, as a minister of the gospel, being a disciples of the Apostle Paul. Amen.
