Romans 5:3-5 Not Ashamed

Romans 5:3-5 (KJV) And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience;
And patience, experience; and experience, hope:
And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.

The Christian’s hope is steadfast in the Lord. For the Lord, through the Holy Spirit, puts God’s love in the the believer’s heart.

God’s love brings comfort and consoles the aching heart. This is more clearly manifested in a trial, where the believer may be pressed to a breakpoint and yet sustained.

The believer is not overwhelmed but develops the virtue of patience, learning to waiting upon the Lord. And thus experiencing His faithfulness, bringing fullness of hope! Amen.
