John 17:2 Power Over All Flesh

John 17:2 (KJV) As thou hast given him power over all flesh, that he should give eternal life to as many as thou hast given him.

Christ’s crucifixion would break the stronghold of Satan upon sin and death for all mankind. Dominion would be wrestled back by Christ for His people.

In the sacrifice of Christ upon the cross, sin and Satan will be dealt with a fatal blow and nullified for God’s people’s sake. There will be great rejoicing.

Eternal life is God’s gift through Christ’s atoning work. For Christ rose victorious from the death the third day. He is resurrected to life forevermore. So it is for as many as the Father as given to partake the blessing of Christ’s sacrifice on their behalf. Amen.
