Isaiah 32:17 (KJV) And the work of righteousness shall be peace; and the effect of righteousness quietness and assurance forever.

The work of righteousness shall be peace. God’s peace wrought through Messiah, the Christ – Isaiah 53:5, 10 (KJV) But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed. 10 Yet it pleased the LORD to bruise him; he hath put him to grief: when thou shalt make his soul an offering for sin, he shall see his seed, he shall prolong his days, and the pleasure of the LORD shall prosper in his hand.

The effect of righteousness is first quietness. There is restfulness from the turmoil of sin and its miseries.

There is also assurance forever. Assurance of God’s presence and power guiding and undergirding the life without ceasing through Christ. Amen.
