Psalm 141:2 (KJV) Let my prayer be set forth before thee as incense; and the lifting up of my hands as the evening sacrifice.

Incense rises upwards like the prayers of God’s people ascending to heaven to the throne room of God. The communion of God’s people in prayer is to the LORD as the sweet savour of incense.

The lifting up of the hands as a prayer posture to the LORD came as like the evening sacrifice, reverentially uplifted to the LORD. Hearty and earnest prayer are heard and received of the LORD.

These represent the humble cry of God’s people to the LORD for His intervention in their lives. The LORD does hear. Amen.
