Titus 2:13 Looking For That Blessed Hope

Titus 2:13 (KJV) Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Savior Jesus Christ;

The Apostle Paul is a most unlikely a candidate you would call upon to tell you about hope because it seemed his was a most hopeless, disappointing, despairing, fugitive life. He left behind no material possessions at his death, except his cloak which kept him warm in the cold dungeons of prison Roman during winter and the parchments, God’s Word that kept his hope alive, which his disciple Timothy was asked to bring to him.

The blessed hope of the Christian is expressed in this way at the end of the book of Revelation 21:4 And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.

A day, imminent, is coming when our ascended Saviour will return to bring His church to receive that glory. Amen.
