2 Timothy 2:1 Be Strong In The Grace That Is In Christ Jesus

2 Timothy 2:1 (KJV) Thou therefore, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus.

The Apostle Paul speaks to his spiritual son Timothy exhorting him to be strong. The strength that comes in dependence upon God’s grace.

God’s favour comes through Christ Jesus. This is the Christ of the Old Testament Scripture who in the fullness of time took on human flesh, live perfectly, died for the sins of men and rose from the dead the third day and ascended to heaven at the right hand of the Father, praying for the Father’s favour upon His children on earth.

Timothy is to find strength in the grace that is in Christ Jesus. This is strength sufficient and abounding. Amen.
