Psalms 136:26 (KJV) O give thanks unto the God of heaven: for his mercy endureth forever.

The LORD, the God of gods, the Lord of lords who is the God of heaven whose mercy endureth forever. Israel’s history attested to His enduring mercy.

The exhortation of the psalmist is that the people of God give thanks to their LORD, the God of gods, the Lord of lords who is the only God of heaven. Look for His mercy, it is unfailing and inexhaustible.

Indeed, our God is worthy of our thanksgiving. Amen.
