Luke 12:35-36 Your Loins Girded And Your Lights Burning
Luke 12:35-36 (KJV) Let your loins be girded about, and your lights burning; 36 And ye yourselves like unto men that wait for their lord, when he will return from the wedding; that when he cometh and knocketh, they may open unto him immediately.
The believer is to be ready for the Lord’s return anytime. The girding of the loins is to be ready for action and the burning lamp speaks of the alertness of the believer, ready for the Lord’s return.
When the Lord descends from heaven to receive His church, His people may be ready with their lamps burning brightly to receive Him.
Not asleep but on guard, awaiting for the Lord’s coming. Such shall be received into everlasting life with their rewards. Amen.
