1 John 4:9 We Might Live Through Him

1 John 4:9 (KJV) In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him.

Eternal life comes when one is in union with Christ. When one acknowledge Christ as Saviour by His perfect life lived on their behalf and sacrifice on the cross to pay for his sin.

Christ’s salvific work is the manifestation of God’s love toward us. Christ had to come but His coming would mean the Father having to let the Son on man’s behalf die for man’s sin.

Christ rose from the dead after He died on the third day. His resurrection life is testimony of the overcoming life that the believer can have when he surrenders to Christ so that He may live through them. Giving the believer victory over the flesh, self and the world. Amen.
