Psalm 126:6-7 (KJV) They that sow in tears shall reap in joy. 7 He that goeth forth and weepeth, bearing precious seed, shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, bringing his sheaves with him.

Sowing is hard work. Sowing is also heart work, the psalmist sowed in tears, he went forth weeping, bearing precious seed.

The seed planted will germinate into a plant that will flower and bear fruit. There is a time of rejoicing for the farmer when he reaps his harvest.

The analogy brings before us, the preciousness of soul winning. The hard and heart work of sowing the gospel seed and the joyous time of harvest when a soul is saved brought into God’s kingdom and painstakingly nurtured to maturity by the grace of God. Amen.
