Philippians 3:13-14 Reaching Forth Unto Those Things Which Are Before
Philippians 3:13-14 (KJV) Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, 14 I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.
The Apostle Paul understood that his consecrated life has a God-given mission that he is to fulfil by the grace of God. This he described as reaching forth unto those things that are before. He was a shamefully blasphemer before he was saved.
This endeavour towards the future he pressed toward. For there is a reward that Christ will give to His people who serve Him.
And whatever that has been done for Christ before is but a part of the overall consummation of his life. That he may finish well. Amen.
