Matthew 28:19 Go Ye Therefore

Matthew 28:19 (KJV)  Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:

The command of the Great Commission is for Christ’s disciples to go forth to teach all nations. The word “teach – μαθητεύω ” means “to make disciple of someone, to instruct to cause someone to become a follower” of Christ.

The emphasis on the “Go” brings impetus for the Spirit-led work to accomplish God’s redemptive purpose. And “all nations” is the broad scope of the commission.

Baptism is an outward sign of the inward gift of salvation. Baptism is in the name of the Triune God – Father, Son and the Holy Spirit. Amen.
