Ephesians 5:20 (KJV) Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ;

The exhortation to give thanks for all things unto God is to acknowledge that it is the Lord who sovereignly orders all events and He has in careful consideration allowed all things that took place.

The believer therefore makes that trustful acknowledgement of the Lord superintending over his life. He acknowledges the Father who cares for him.

And it is our Lord Jesus Christ that the believer has access to the Father, having been reconciled to Him through Christ. This is the great privilege of the saint. He is therefore to give thanks. Amen.
