Philippians 4:11 To Be Content

Philippians 4:11 (KJV) Not that I speak in respect of want: for I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content.

The contented mind is a great blessing. The Apostle Paul understood that His Lord leads him through life and as he seeks to walk in the will of God, he finds himself resting in His care.

He shared what it is to be content when he said in Philippians 4:12 (KJV)  I know both how to be abased, and I know how to abound: every where and in all things I am instructed both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need.

He is satisfied with the provision and providence of the Lord whatever that may be in every season of his life. There is secret of his happiness – to be content. Amen.
