Psalm 128:5 The LORD Shall Bless Thee Out Of Zion

Psalm 128:5 (KJV)  The LORD shall bless thee out of Zion: and thou shalt see the good of Jerusalem all the days of thy life.

Zion was the seat of God’s visible kingdom over Israel. The Jews expect national and personal blessings.

The God-fearer who walk in His ways is also a diligent worker who labour with his hands. A fruitful worker who is also blessed with a fruitful family life – Psalm 128:3 (KJV) Thy wife shall be as a fruitful vine by the sides of thine house: thy children like olive plants round about thy table.

There is given also a generational blessing that culminates in a peaceful nation – Psalm 128:6 (KJV)  Yea, thou shalt see thy children’s children, and peace upon Israel.

Such is the blessing of the God-fearer – Psalm 128:4 (KJV)  Behold, that thus shall the man be blessed that feareth the LORD. Amen.
