Matthew 28:19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:

The emphasis of the Great Commission that Jesus gave to the church was to go forth with the gospel, that it may be preached to all nations. The idea in the word “teach” is “to make disciple”, that is, to make a follower.

All who believe the truth of the gospel preached are commanded to be baptised in the Name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost. Baptism affirms a person inward faith by an outward confession.

The Name of the Triune God is invoked in the baptism in that it was the Father who sent the Son to accomplish the work of redemption and it is the Holy Ghost that indwells the believer. Blessed work of the holy Trinity. Amen.
