Titus 2:11-14 We Should Live Soberly, Righteously, and Godly In This Present World

Titus 2:11-14 For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men, Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world; Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Savior Jesus Christ; Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works.

It is the grace of God, our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, who cleanses us from all sins by His blood that was shed on the cross for our redemption. Having been cleansed every whit clean, His people, by the grace of God, Denys ungodliness and worldly lusts, looking to Jesus, to overcome the sin that doth so easily beset us.

It is the Lord’s coming that inspires His people to live looking to His coming – Revelation 22:12 (KJV) And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be.

Purified and sanctified, God’s people are enabled to do good works to the glory of God. What a blessed life this is! Amen.
