Psalm 48:1-3 Great is the LORD, and greatly to be praised in the city of our God, in the mountain of his holiness.
Beautiful for situation, the joy of the whole earth, is mount Zion, on the sides of the north, the city of the great King.
God is known in her palaces for a refuge.

In the LORD is the believer’s protection. The palaces are with reference to the stronghold of the LORD’s castle!

Mount Zion was the place where the Temple was built and wherein was placed the ark of the covenant. It was the physical residence, the presence of the LORD.

There in Jerusalem was where the LORD has placed His Name and rule. It will come a time soon when our Christ the LORD will establish His rule on earth at His return bringing true peace on earth. Amen.
