Philippians 4:11 To Be Content

Philippians 4:11 Not that I speak in respect of want: for I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content.

The Apostle Paul has learned in his life with God since his conversion that He orders all things well. He can entrust all the external circumstances to God’s sovereign care.

He learned to rest in the Lord – Philippians 4:12 (KJV)  I know both how to be abased, and I know how to abound: every where and in all things I am instructed both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need.

The stability of life with Christ is regardless of external circumstances. He learns to commit himself to the Lord daily. Amen.
