Hebrews 6:19 Hope and Anchor
Hebrews 6:19 Which hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and steadfast, and which entereth into that within the veil;
The Apostle Paul compares the Christian’s hope to an anchor that fastens and secures a ship in a stable position from the strong winds and beating waves.
The most holy place is “within the veil”, the inner most sanctum of the Temple or Tabernacle, wherein is the ark of the covenant, signifying the very presence of God. It is a picture of the throne room of God, which is heaven itself.
The Christian’s hope is steadfast and sure because his prayers enters into the very ears of God in heaven through the mediation of Christ, his Great High Priest. He is assured of God preserving and protecting him. Amen.
