Psalm 40:1, 5 I Waited Patiently For the LORD
Psalm 40:1, 5 I waited patiently for the LORD; and he inclined unto me, and heard my cry. … Many, O LORD my God, are thy wonderful works which thou hast done, and thy thoughts which are to usward: they cannot be reckoned up in order unto thee: if I would declare and speak of them, they are more than can be numbered.
The psalmist understood that the only recourse for him in life at its best was to commit himself to the Lord’s care through prayer and supplication. He prayed and trusted, waiting upon the LORD.
The LORD has not failed to answer any of his prayers. He testified, “Many, O LoRD my God, are thy wonderful works which Thou has done.”
He was able to traced the LORD sovereign hand ruling and guiding and superintending over his life. He was immensely grateful for he not begin to count the blessings that he has received from the LORD, they are too numerous! Bountifully endowed! Amen.
