Philippians 4:13 Do All Things Through Christ

Philippians 4:13 (KJV)  I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.

Our Lord Jesus taught His disciples in John 15:4-5, 7-8 (KJV)  Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me. 5 I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing. 7 If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you. 8 Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be my disciples.

Apostle Paul personally sought the Lord for a closer walk with Him and therefore is able to experience Christ’s guidance. The example of going west to Philippi instead of going north during the Second Missionary Journey – Acts 16:6-10 (KJV)  Now when they had gone throughout Phrygia and the region of Galatia, and were forbidden of the Holy Ghost to preach the word in Asia, After they were come to Mysia, they assayed to go into Bithynia: but the Spirit suffered them not. And they passing by Mysia came down to Troas. And a vision appeared to Paul in the night; There stood a man of Macedonia, and prayed him, saying, Come over into Macedonia, and help us. And after he had seen the vision, immediately we endeavoured to go into Macedonia, assuredly gathering that the Lord had called us for to preach the gospel unto them.

And the strength to rejoice after being beaten and cast into prison – Acts 16:25-26 (KJV)  And at midnight Paul and Silas prayed, and sang praises unto God: and the prisoners heard them. And suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison were shaken: and immediately all the doors were opened, and every one’s bands were loosed. Amen.
