Ephesians 6:10 Be Strong in the Lord

Ephesians 6:10 (KJV)  Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. 

The Apostle Paul exhorts the people of God to realise the spiritual warfare that daily confronts them – Ephesians 6:12 (KJV)  For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. 

It is only in the strength of the Lord that the believer overcomes the wiles of the devil. Victory comes only in the power of the Lord – Deuteronomy 20:4 (KJV)  For the LORD your God is he that goeth with you, to fight for you against your enemies, to save you. 

To be strong in the Lord, God’s people are exhorted to surrender to the Lord and let Him lead in the battle – that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. Amen.
