Psalm 34:4 I Sought the LORD

Psalm 34:4 (KJV)  I sought the LORD, and he heard me, and delivered me from all my fears. 

It is never in vain to seek the LORD. The psalmist testified that he sought the LORD and He heard him!

How did the psalmist know that the LORD has heard his prayers? It was the assurance in his heart that the LORD took away the fears that torment his heart.

A New Testament paraphrase of our text is in Philippians 4:6-7 (KJV)  Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.  7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. Amen.
