Psalm 33:20-22 Our Soul Waiteth For The LORD

Psalm 33:20-22 (KJV)  Our soul waiteth for the LORD: he is our help and our shield.  21 For our heart shall rejoice in him, because we have trusted in his holy name.  22 Let thy mercy, O LORD, be upon us, according as we hope in thee. 

The people of God expresses their faith in the LORD, looking to and waiting upon Him to defend and protect them. He is their help and shield.

The people of God who waiteth upon Him experience His deliverance and salvation and hence rejoices in Him. Their faith strengthened and renewed as they saw His wisdom and power prevailing on their behalf.

In this new trial, again His people were looking to Him, hoping in Him, pleading for His mercy. Amen.
