2 Kings 6:17 The Mountains Was Full of Horses and Chariots of Fire

2 Kings 6:17 (KJV)  And Elisha prayed, and said, LORD, I pray thee, open his eyes, that he may see. And the LORD opened the eyes of the young man; and he saw: and, behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire round about Elisha. 

Just as Elisha’s servant thought the Syrian army has surrounded Dothan, the city which Elisha was lodging, the Lord caused him to see the hosts of the Lord’s army protecting them – the mountains was full of horses and chariots of fire round about Elisha.

The enemy came in flesh and blood like a flood, the host of the Lord’s army was more than a match for them. The soldiers were struck blind by the Lord and led captive to Samaria, fed and sent back home. They never thought to return!

It was Elisha’s prayer that opened the eyes of his servant to see the power and protection of the LORD for His people. May it comfort and strengthen His people that the LORD is very much able to help in whatever our predicament. Amen.
