Proverbs 9:9-11 Walking Surely
Proverbs 10:9-11 (KJV) He that walketh uprightly walketh surely: but he that perverteth his ways shall be known. He that winketh with the eye causeth sorrow: but a prating fool shall fall. The mouth of a righteous man is a well of life: but violence covereth the mouth of the wicked.
To walk surely is to walk uprightly. The way of sin is not a sure path but a crooked path lurking with danger and pitfalls.
The winketh of the eye speaks of a man causing sorrow to whom his malice, mischief and ridicule is directed.
The righteous man by his honest and upright way is a well of life whereas the wicked spew out violence that brings destruction. Better to be walking surely by walking uprightly and righteously as guided by God’s Word. Amen.
