Ephesians 2:8-9 For By Grace Are Ye Saved

Ephesians 2:8-9 (KJV)  For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:  9 Not of works, lest any man should boast. 

Our salvation is from no merit of our own but solely by the undeserved favour bestowed by God. It is the gift of God.

It is not of works. The truth is that a man cannot justify himself before God, there is nothing he could for himself or by himself do to save himself.

Our salvation comes solely through faith in the finished work of Christ in His perfect life lived on our behalf and by His atoning death on our behalf. No man can boast that he is saved because of any other factor than the grace of God. Amen.
