Haggai 2:4 Be Strong and Work For I Am With You Saith the LORD of Hosts

Haggai 2:4 (KJV)  Yet now be strong, O Zerubbabel, saith the LORD; and be strong, O Joshua, son of Josedech, the high priest; and be strong, all ye people of the land, saith the LORD, and work: for I am with you, saith the LORD of hosts: 

Through the prophet Haggai, the Word of the LORD came to Zerubbabel, Joshua the high priest, the returnees tasked to rebuild the Second Temple that their hands be strengthened.

“Be strong and work for I am with thee” is the Word of encouragement for them from the Lord of hosts. The commission for the gospel work given by our Lord Jesus Christ was also promised His presence with His church going forth to preach the gospel.

The plan is from the LORD, the strength is from the LORD. Let His people go forth courageously to accomplish His good purpose for His glory. Amen.
