Psalm 18:6 In My Distress I Called Upon the LORD

Psalm 18:6 (KJV)  In my distress I called upon the LORD, and cried unto my God: he heard my voice out of his temple, and my cry came before him, even into his ears.

The psalmist attested to the LORD hearing his prayer in the time of his distress. He testified, “My cry came before Him, even His ears”.

He attested that the LORD heard his prayers as he called upon Him. It was an experiential encounter in the midst of his trial that the LORD proved Himself real to him.

The LORD heard his cry. The psalmist described the LORD’s actions that saved him – Psalm 18:17-19 (KJV)  He delivered me from my strong enemy, and from them which hated me: for they were too strong for me.  18 They prevented me in the day of my calamity: but the LORD was my stay.  19 He brought me forth also into a large place; he delivered me, because he delighted in me. Amen.
