Psalm 17:5 Hold Up My Goings In Thy Paths

Psalm 17:5 (KJV)  Hold up my goings in thy paths, that my footsteps slip not. 

To walk with the LORD is to the psalmist, the path of safety and blessings. He is recommending that God’s people will do so.

There are temptations and tendencies to deviate and detour, be diverted from the course that God’s has intended for His people. By prayer, the psalmist sought the LORD that he may be held up to walk in God’s appointed path.

In so doing, he knew that his footsteps will not slip. He would be established in his goings. Amen.
