Psalm 16:7-9 Blessed, Instructed and Resting in Hope

Psalm 16:7-9 (KJV)  I will bless the LORD, who hath given me counsel: my reins also instruct me in the night seasons.  8 I have set the LORD always before me: because he is at my right hand, I shall not be moved.  9 Therefore my heart is glad, and my glory rejoiceth: my flesh also shall rest in hope. 

The psalmist testified that he has been blessed of the LORD. In His counsel and instruction in whose dark moments of trial he has been able to find relieve.

It is therefore his resolve, having tasted of the goodness of the LORD to set the LORD always before Him. The LORD is at his right hand, the One guiding his steps. he finds great stability in his life.

The by-product is gladness and rejoicing as the glory of the LORD shines upon him. He is able to rest assuredly in hope. Amen.
