Lord’s Day, Vol. 13 No. 18
The 7am Service
Thank God for His grace in assembling the church for the early morning hour service on Tuesdays and Fridays from 4 February to 29 April at the William Booth Chapel.
There were 24 services. There are 132 services since “The 7am Service” began on 1 July 2024. There were 108 services held from 1 July to 30 November 2024 with five weekday services.
The Books of Joshua and Judges were preached by Mr Lucas Lek and the Book of Philippians by Pastor Lek in the 24 services. Last year, the Books of Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers and Deuteronomy were preached by Mr Lucas Lek and the Gospel of John by Pastor Lek in the 108 services.
God willing, we shall resume “The 7am Service” on 1 July to 31 October 2025 on Tuesdays and Fridays with 36 services on The Minor Prophets by Mr Lucas Lek and the Book of James by Pastor Lek. Pray the Lord bless the services for His glory. Amen.
Reading the Entire Bible
Thank God for enabling the church to persevere in the reading of the Bible since 1 January 2024. In the year of grace 2024, the church read the Old Testament Scriptures twice. From 1 January to 30 April 2025, the church read the New Testament Scriptures. It is most heartening to see members and friends writing out summaries on pieces of Post-It and collation was done for each book of the 66 Books of the Bible.
God’s people have benefitted from the reading and searching of the Scriptures in tandem with the Lord’s Day messages on the Books read for each week.
Westminster Shorter Catechism
Since 1 January 2025, the church has begun the study of the Westminster Shorter Catechism for family devotions. This week, we shall complete the 19th and last session from 5-11 May 2025. Weekly videos have been recorded to encourage families in the church to gather weekly to study the Short Catechism together. May the Lord bless this final week of family devotion to the strengthening of the faith of His church. Amen.

Yours lovingly,
Pastor Lek Aik Wee
